What is the starting process with your practice?
For clients who are under the age of 18 or who are living dependently, we require two initial appointments, each of which are two hours long. The first appointment is for the parent(s) or guardian(s), and the second appointment is for the minor.

What is the start-up cost?
We require two initial appointments to begin with our practice, totaling $800-$1,000, depending on your provider.

Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance at Lighthouse Care.

Can I get reimbursed by my insurance provider for these appointments?
It depends on your insurance provider's protocols. We can provide a "Superbill" to clients, which shows the services provided, dates, fees, and confirmation of payment by the patient. You must then submit it to insurance to be reviewed.

Do you offer diagnostic testing?
We offer clinical diagnosis. For some cases, an outside referral may be included for standardized or neuropsychic testing.

What can I expect as a regular patient of your practice?
Lighthouse Care is a boutique, locally operated practice dedicated to providing personalized psychiatric care. As a small-scale clinic, we do not offer emergency services or after-hours consultations. We prioritize clear and timely communication while maintaining appropriate boundaries between our professional responsibilities and personal time.

How do I request refills?

How can I schedule my next appointment?
The patient portal allows you to request appointments directly. You can also email, call, or text our office.

I need a letter for school or work. What should I do?
Please email us with any documents from the receiving offices. If you have no documents to send, you may email us with a summary of what type of letter is needed and what contents are required. Depending on the level of detail for letter writing, patients may be charged a fee.

I have records from another doctor to add to my chart. How can I do that?
You can upload documents within your patient portal, or you can email us with the attachment, and it will be added for you.

What are your cancellation fees?
Same day cancellations will receive a fee of $75. No-show appointments are subject to a full appointment charge.

I'm experiencing a mental health emergency crisis which may include hospitalization. What do I do?
We are not an emergency equipped practice. Please call 911 and seek immediate assistance.
